The current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are producing large numbers of severely disabled soldiers who upon separation from active duty will become young, disabled veterans. Currently, the Veterans Affairs Administration (VA) does not offer assisted living as a residential option and does not allow its long-term care nursing home benefit to be used to pay for assisted living....
