CEAL helps assisted living providers, policymakers, researchers and others interested in the field by:

• Building upon the work of Assisted Living Workgroup (ALW) [U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging Initiative]
• Providing information about assisted living policies, programs, and effective practices
• Identifying and promoting areas for assisted living research
• Helping to develop and distribute information about performance measures, effective practices and protocols, functional outcomes, and resident/staff satisfaction
